Howard Curtis IV

The shining light in this tragedy is that in December, i am going to be a grandmother. My sweet son and his beautiful fiance' are having a baby girl... and true to my son's love for cars... her name will be Silvia.
Since his passing, i had requested that in lieu of flowers that people donate to the Tourette Syndrome Association in his name. I also donated his brain in hopes to help find a cure. My son Howard was diagnosed at the age of 5 at John Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore.
I recently found out that my retirement plan does not have a hardship withdrawal so I have no way of paying this debt. I have tried everything from trying to apply for a personal loan to refinancing my car loan.
My target amount that that I am trying to reach includes a grave marker - but if i can't raise that much then he will get a marker eventually.
I am asking to please find it in your heart to help me to close this painful chapter so I can start healing again. I am a very proud person and the thought of even posting this is painful but this isn't about my pride anymore. I need help as many parent's do when they are faced with such a tragic situation. No parent should have to bury a child.
