Animation: The Gigantic Change
Donation protected
The Gigantic Change is an animated short set in the future, looking back at how the world came together to save the environment, empowering hope and action in the climate crisis.
This is an Extinction Rebellion film that offers hope in a narrative of doom and gloom.
As the public wakes up to the realities of the climate emergency, the film illustrates the tough journey we have ahead of us. But crucially, that the world we dream of is in fact possible if we all work together.
The goal is for the film to be as far reaching as possible, spreading the message and inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to see what they can do to help build a better future. As well as multiple online platforms, we hope to screen the film during the trailers at selected cinemas across the UK and beyond.
Synopsis

Josh Hughes
London based writer and filmmaker Josh Hughes has worked in the industry for over ten years working with the likes of Netflix, Discovery Channel, the History Channel, BBC, Channel5 and Sky. Josh loves the liberating nature of writing for animation and the inherent power of the format.
Serena Schellenberg
Serena has produced TV Ads for 25 years at agencies such as JWT and Leo Burnett, and is particularly proud of her work for the NSPCC Share Aware Campaign.
For the last year, however, she has focused on Extinction Rebellion and produced the XR viral Climate Change - And Why We Need to Panic, voiced by Keira Knightley.
“As soon as I read George’s initial script, I found the concept so compelling and much needed in a sea of doom and gloom. I immediately wanted to be part of the team making it. I intend to focus the remainder of my life to Climate Activism and one of the ways I can serve is making engaging films to bring the truth to many, as well as hope for a better world”.
Where is the money going?
The majority of the funding for this film will go towards production. A smaller portion will help promote the film and reach as wide an audience as possible.
Any amount you can offer would be greatly appreciated so we can get this project rolling!
