How We Can Help Jodie & Patty

My name is Tabitha and I am a friend of Jodie and Patty.  They have been friends with my wife Vikki for over 20 years and that is how they came into my life.  We became fast friends and I now consider them some  my best friends. Jodie and Patty were both sick at home for about 11 days when they decided enough was enough and went to the emergency room.  Patty was diagnosed with pneumonia and admitted and has been in ICU for 3 weeks now.  The pneumonia has cleared up but she is still not breathing well on her own.  They placed her on life support to let her body rest in hopes that her lungs will heal.  Some of the tests that they have done have not resulted in any answers and some tests are still out. 
     Since we heard about Patty being in the hospital our hearts have been hurting.  We are in Tennessee and they are in Indiana and due to Patty's precarious health issues it is not a good time to go there.  With that said, Vikki and I have just felt sort of helpless with no idea just what we can do to help.  So we decided to start this page to help them out. 
     The immediate need is money for Jodie.  Money for gas, parking, food from the hospital (ICU says no outside food) and everyday living expenses involved with the situation.  The long term need will be the medical bills that are accruing at the moment. When Patty leaves the hospital she will have to go to a rehab facility to regain her strength. 
    I know Vikki and I are not the only ones feeling helpless as to what we can do for them.  Please let us help our friends and raise as much money as we can to help them along.
