Hi my name is Stephen, and I am fundraising for the NI Hospice and the Friends of Cancer Centre. I was diagnosed with throat cancer in March 24 and later in May 24 advised that the cancer had spread and my care would be palliative in nature.

Since my diagnosis I have had my eyes opened to the disease and the valuable work that the NI Hospice undertake to support individuals like me suffering from cancer and other diseases. I would also like to raise funds for the Friends of Cancer Centre to assist them in the vital care, support and research that they provide.

In order to fund raise for these two charities myself and three friends are undertaking a longest day of golf challenge on 5th August at Downpatrick Golf Club. We will play 4 rounds/72 holes of golf. I am very grateful to Tommy Mulholland, Sean P Carville and Johnny Murtagh for joining me in this fundraising challenge (I have no words to describe them - well ones I can could write here!)
