A future for the kids in Jamestown, Accra GHANA

AMAZING NEWS and CALL TO ACTION!

I partnered with Emmanuel Nyame and his incredible NGO EduCom to help the kids in Accra in a sustainable way.

We're thrilled to announce the first-ever "How to be global" Scholarships.
With only €30 we can support a child (age 5-12) to go to school for an entire year.

If we hit:
• €3.000, we can support 100 kids
• €4.000, we can support 130 kids
• €5.000, we can support 160 kids

This scholarship will enable young students to cover the basic cost of their education every year. The scholarship is seeking candidates/guardians who have demonstrated genuine financial need (especially orphans and children from single parents).

What does the "How to be global" Scholarship provide?
• Access to educational opportunities
• The cost of school fees and examination related expenses.
• Catering includes meals for selected students.
• School hand-outs and study materials
• Participation in hosted events and conference sessions for self-development and growth.
• Clothes, cost of school uniforms and educational requirements.

Let's hit the €5.000 by December, 9th - I'll be back in Accra to meet the kids and the schools in person.

**************

With €1.000,
we can make sure that the 130 kids (most of them are orphans) can go to school, get food, the teachers get their salary and the school can buy some supplies for a whole month.

The goal is to reach at least €3.000 with until March, 22.

Being in Ghana gave me the last push to take action NOW. Last week, I visited Jamestown, most probably the poorest neighbourhood in Accra.

Seeing these thousands of human beings who are just like you and me with literally nothing broke my heart into pieces. I feel everyone just accepts that Africa is a poor and/or underprivileged continent but only a very few people make the effort to actually jump in and make a difference.

I don’t want to be the tourist who feels sorry the day I see these things — I want to make a change! That’s why I start this fundraising project.

I want to make sure that these amazing girls and boys have the chance to go to the only school on Jamestown, get food and education which empowers them to shape a better future for themselves and the whole community.

My commitment: I will donate all money I’ll receive for Christmas to this project and I will fly back to Accra next year (my own expenses obviously), hand over all the donations in person and volunteer for some days as a teacher in the Noyee School.
