We are a group of film students in our final semester of the Film and Video production program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. We are producing our final 10 minute short film titled "How I Got My Wings". This GoFundMe aims to support our production and crew to create the highest quality film possible. Any support is greatly appreciated and goes towards supporting a fantastic crew!

Your donation will go towards

1. Location permits - Shooting in beautiful churches throughout the city of Calgary and public transit aswell.

2. Set Decoration/Wardrobe - Decorating the set and dressing our actors is a key component to the look and feel of this film, having leeway with set and wardrobe possibilities is a key factor for our team.

3. Craft Services - An incredibly valuable part of a healthy and efficient production is feeding your crew. We hope to have every crew member fed and happy at all times. It's hard to make a great film on an empty stomach.

What is this movie about?

How I Got My Wings is a psychological horror that follows Eric, a missionary who finds himself battling with evil. After an unsettling encounter with a religious man, Eric's perspective on his faith is skewed and polluted by powerful encounters with evil omens. This film explores the dark underside of a local religious community. We watch a devout missionary’s life become infiltrated with an evil power that makes him question everything he knows.

Directors intent

Seeing the spiritual pathways that can open after meeting certain people is an intriguing and vast topic that has interested me all my life. We sit along as we witness the evil creep into Erics daily life and the faith in his religion slowly erode.
