How could you refuse this face?
My wife and I have been rescuing cats (and dogs) for close to 35 years now. We've saved about 200 animals over the years. Some were placed in good homes, but most stayed and lived out there life with us. Those who were too sick or had been abandoned/abused couldn't be re-homed. At one time we had 65 living in a building we rented on a farm. We're down to 21 now and trying not to take anymore in since we are both retired and income is limited. Our shelter is a 200 square foot building that needs insulation and a better climate control system. Right now the walls are not insulated and it gets hot in Texas! The current AC is a window unit that need replacing about every year and a half since it runs pretty much full time in the summer. Last winter we had to use ceramic space heaters and lots of blankets since it got so cold. Our goal is to insulate and sheath the walls and ceiling (phase 1 if you will) at an estimated cost of $2500 and phase 2 add a split mini system so that we have heating and cooling at an estimated cost of $3500 for a total of $6000. Anything over that will go to the pet necessities; food, litter and vet care. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
