Houston We Have a Problem - Marcy Needs Our Help

Donation protected
A little back story for those of you that are not familiar with Marcy and her story. Marcy and her family moved to Washington state the summer of 2017. She was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer early that fall. She has fought a hard battle the last few years. During this time, her daughter, Bergen, fought Leukemia and thankfully remains in remission. The kids lost their father and the family home caught fire this past fall forcing them to live in temporary housing until April 2022.

Marcy has been a fierce advocate for her own care. A role model some might say in that regard. She researched Anderson MD Center  in Houston and was thrilled when they agreed to see her on May 2nd. She flew to Houston May 1st from Washington state. She was seen by the various cancer teams and was so hopeful after meeting with them. She had one more hurdle, a brain MRI before her treatment could move forward. Unfortunately, it was discovered that Marcy had dozens of tumors in her brain. She was admitted to the ER and started whole brain radiation on Friday, May 6th in Houston. She is continuing treatment in Houston. She has an apartment and extra living expenses on top of the enormous medical bills.

Marcy is quite possibly one of the kindest people you will ever meet.

Please consider donating to help Marcy offset the costs of temporary housing, food, flights and medical expenses.
