Hello! My name is Julie Hensley Brown, and I am the Aunt of Justin Stormes. I have been asked by several members of the family, friends and those who are apart of the #JustinStrong community, to arrange this fundraiser. Our goal is to help ease the burden of travel expenses to and from Houston, TX, where Justin is being transferred to for intense rehabilitation.

Justin was in a horrific motorcycle accident on October 5, 2021. Justin spent  31 days in the ICU, recovering from a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Justin has made some great progress, but still has a long journey ahead of him. Justin went to TIRR Memorial Herman in Houston for acute inpatient rehab. His family is trying to get him qualified to go back there for outpatient therapy or somewhere equivalent that specializes in TBI’s. 

I can’t even begin to express how much we appreciate the prayers and uplifting words that we have received over the past year! And now this request just blows us away! The outpouring of love and support shown to Justin’s family and sweet Emily, has been simply unbelievable!

Tomorrow, Justin will leave the hospital and head to Houston to begin the next phase of his recovery. We don’t know the timeline yet, but we know that Darla, Brad, Chase and Emily want to be by his side, cheering him on, as much as possible! We don’t want them to have to deal with the financial burden of this. We greatly appreciate anything you are willing to donate! The Stormes/Hensley families have been so incredibly humbled and blessed by the outpouring of love, prayer and support Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! God is writing Justin’s story and HE IS NOT DONE YET!!
