DSA National Convention Support

We’re the Houston local of the Democratic Socialists of America, the largest socialist organization in the country.  We fight for more democracy — in our politics, workplaces, and communities. Our members are building and supporting progressive movements for social change while establishing an openly socialist presence in U.S. communities and politics through activism, political education, and community organization.  

Part of this struggle requires organizing in solidarity not just with local activists and comrades, but coming together at the national level to build a larger movement in the US.  To these ends, Houston DSA will be sending 8 delegates to the 2017 DSA National Convention in Chicago this August and we are raising money to help support the costs.  

The convention will be August 3-6, and we hope to show with a strong presence as we believe the experience of attending will be invaluable in learning effective techniques for organizing and movement building towards a socialist future.
