Hampton Housing for the Homeless

Hello, My name is Gwen Moore.  Allow me a little time to tell you a little about me and what we are trying to manifest here in Milwaukee.  Back in April 2012 ,  I bought a ten family apartment.  I saw the need for housing for our homeless soldiers and homeless people here in Milwaukee.  I want to help them.  Before the purchase, I made a plan to receive grants and possibly loans for the rehab process.  Well needless to say, to this date, there is no funding for my project.  I was sold a few promises along the way, until it was know that, I was not Congresswoman, Gwen Moore.  I go to the actual meetings, then everything became disasterous.  Everything was done over the telephone, except for the signing of the agreement or contract.  I see all the contractors, refacing their buildings, up and newly constructed  properties.  Just can't understand why a small business owner like myself can't get any help with my project.  I thought those loans and grants was for the small business owner.  I looked within my own city for help with the project and I have looked out of state for help, There is no help for me.  I have already put in $50.000 of my own hard earned funds, and now I have the City of Milwaukee, demanding the back taxes,  in which is a natural process with overdue City taxes.  Our city makes no arrangements on back owed city property taxes.  I actully bought the property with back taxes, thinking I would be able to get grants along the way to open the building to get some of our homeless soldiers and homeless off the freeways and streets at night.  A warm place to stay, until better comes.  My heart bleeds.  It bleeds not for the property that we may experience the loss of, but our soldiers, and homeless who have once again, have been defeated, by their own system.  I love them,  I want to help them.  Please help me, to help them, to make a change in their lives.  This is my plea and last ditch effort to help our soldiers and homeless, here in Milwaukee.   I'm reaching out to our community and world help to help me, help a lot of famililes.  The dollar amount is small compared to the amount of families that will be blessed.  I know $30.000 is a lot of money in this day and time.  I have already put in repairs, $54.000.00 of my own hard earned cash and will   continue.  Please,  I need your help.   With all of my heart,  Thank you.
