Housing Two Queer Nerds & Their Cat

Hi all, we're Ash and Socks, partners with a fuzzy son, Kimball. We're both queer, neurodivergent, and one of us-Socks-is physically disabled. Until very recently, we lived in Texas, before a friend and her partner in Colorado offered to take us in, telling us that we would be safe and able to take our time rebuilding our funds with their support.

As of last week we were told we'd have roughly a month or so to find a home for ourselves. The lease on the apartment we're in has already been cancelled (when we'd been told we would be re-upping it for at LEAST another year) and our household will be splitting up. We were given no other warning, and have only a few hundred in savings, and no kind of stable income or safety net. As of right now we've got a few VERY generous friends offering to fly us out to their neighborhood in Washington, but have nowhere to stay in the longterm and no way to obtain a more permanent residence.

We need help in order to keep ourselves housed, fed, and able to look for work, as well as provide for our cat. Between food, medication, applying for apartments, transportation, and basic comforts (amongst other things Im sure I'm forgetting) these costs will add up, and quickly.
