Housing The Herricks after Hurricane Ian

My name is Taylor and I started this gofundme to help my oldest friend and her little family after their home and all their belongings were destroyed during Hurricane Ian.

Tiffany, Jake and their 2 little boys Colton and Bodhi are a full time RV fam who have been living in New Smyrna Beach Florida when the hurricane hit. They fortunately were able to get out in time to stay in an Airbnb but had to leave their stationary RV, travel trailer, the shed filled with all of Jake’s tools he uses to work and all of their belongings behind due to a truck part they couldn’t get in time to move their home. It’s all gone and underwater. They have been without power at the Airbnb since yesterday, close to empty on their generator and packed only enough food and clothing for 4-5 days and as of now, unable to leave due to flooding and no access to roads.

Although they have a place to stay for the next couple days, their insurance won’t help cover housing until they get pictures of the damage. Problem with that is they are unable to leave the airbnb because of flooding, and the campground their trailers are at is completely underwater and inaccessible. As their family and I are all located here in Wisconsin, we are trying to help out as best as we can being up here.

This money would be going towards housing while they are down there, food, and clothing for their family as they try to gain their footing again. All of the money would go directly to Tiffany and Jake to pay for the nearest hotel with power, food and clothing. Please send your positive thoughts and prayers to all the families that have lost their homes due to Ian, and if you can, please help my friend and her family get safe temporary housing, food and clothes.
