Update: 10/15/2025. “Also thanks to Tafiana and Theresa Flores for transporting, cleansing and bathing Aileen. It was a challenge that left Aileen feeling very much relieved, we are extremely grateful and appreciative for any help and support we are receiving.” Sandra
Update: 10/13/2025. First, thank you to everyone who has donated.
Aileen was released from the hospital on Friday 10/10/2025, she is currently at my moms house because she has a second story stilt house with no working elevator (that is currently being worked on by her housing manager). When Aileen came home, she was able to wash her hair, which she hadn’t been able to do in 5 days. Many thanks to Jana and my mom for helping remove dried blood, loose hair patches and glass from my sisters scalp and body. She is definitely more comfortable now. With some of the donations so far, we have been able to cover some of the equipment costs (wheelchair and walker) and help cover income lost from not being able to work. She has her external fixator in place and has surgery scheduled next week or possibly the week after to revise the surgical site.
Aileen currently needs help out of bed and into the wheelchair, going to the bathroom and normal living activities. Aileen has always been independent; she is the kind of person who has always taken care of herself and the kids. Aileen never likes to ask anyone for anything and doesn’t like to owe people. This has been a real challenge, but she has no choice, she has to depend on people for help. Anybody that knows Aileen knows how strong, independent, joyful and responsible she is. Those who could attend my brother Sebastians wedding knows that Aileen loves to dance. Aileen, keep your heart and spirit strong, you’ll get through this. Thank you all for your donations, please share the link, and again, as a family we are so appreciative of your support. -Bobby
Greetings friends and family: earlier this week my sister Aileen was involved in a serious car accident. Aileen was finishing her work at her second job and was headed home when she was involved in a car accident. The family was worried after she didn’t come home or answer her cell phone. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and had surgery on her foot and ankle. Aileen had an open fracture and now has external hardware. Her recovery will be long and she needs support from all of us. Aileen is a single parent that does the full time job of taking care of two teenagers (Sara and Aziel) and a daughter, Sandy. Aileen is in good spirits and is grateful to be alive. We are also sending prayers and warm thoughts to the other people involved. Please consider making any donation you are comfortable with to help with housing, medical bills, transportation repair and related bills. Thank you.
