Earnest is a 75 year old homeless friend of ours. He is one of my favorite people in the world and we have been friends for 2 years now. He was robbed and shot 8/11/18 in the park where he lives. It is a miracle that he is alive and we thank God that he is still here. He is getting released from the hospital tomorrow and we need housing for him. He has a girlfriend as well, Keisha, so a shelter is not an option as a couple. The Affordable Housing route has a long wait list and we do not have time to wait that long. He needs to, and wants to, get off the streets, and she does too. Please help us bless him with a place to stay with a roof, four walls, and a door that he can lock. He said today that any place is better than the streets. If we could raise enough, purchasing a home could be a viable option but we will shoot for a stable apartment as a step. Anything you could do to help my friend who has grown to be loved by so many people would be so appreciated. The organization we are raising money for helps the homeless here in Birmingham and the funds will be protected and managed for his behalf. This will be tax deductible and you should include your address in the notes if you would like a receipt. God bless you for your contribution and I hope you will help us get him on his feet and on a path towards his purpose.
