My name is Christine Liner. I found a lump in my breast on January 3rd. A biopsy was performed confirming the findings and I had a mastectomy with DIEM Flap reconstruction performed on March 30. My first chemotherapy was May 4th. My last treatment is scheduled for September 14th. I am on SDI (State Disability Insurance) but it isn't enough to cover the rent more or less utilities and bare essentials. I applied for food stamps and they have allotted me $16.00.
Cancer is a horrible disease and the toll it takes on a family is so much more than the physical one. There is emotional and financial devastation that goes along as well.
My 23 year old son is working in a restaurant in San Mateo and will be staying with me to assist me throughout my chemotherapy.
Thanks to the contributions we received we earlier in.our campaign we were able to find duplex in Redwood City, California much closer to the hospital where I am being treated.
I hope to resume work as quickly as possible but the side effects of the chemotherapy make it impossible for me to do so. I am a good employee, pretty smart and a hard working fool. I don't foresee it will be difficult for me to find work quickly.
But once again we beg of you to give whatever you can afford to help us through this last push. Our roommate will be moving out immediately, which if I was working the situation would be ideal. Nick and I could manage the unit by ourselves. But with our current situation this is devastating.
We beg of you to make a donation to our campaign, please!
Thank you for reading this and considering our request. Anything, large or small that you can offer to assist us would be greatly appreciated.
