I am reaching out to community for help due to some major shifts in my life this year that have deeply impacted my mental health--just a few to name are this pandemic, losing my job, denial of unemployment, and other racist and transphobic systemic oppression, but by asking for help I believe I am regaining what systems of oppression have taken from me. I am a two-spirited, Brown, Indigenous, Queer person who is immuno-compromised and has had COVID once before. Because I am still in recovery from events that have happened this year, it feels extremely difficult to share, in detail, how traumatic the rest of the year has been. 

To be transparent with my community, this money would guarantee a year of stable housing, therapy with a provider who hears me and cares about me in a way that's been very crucial to my healing,  and will allow me to finally begin treatment for my chronic pain. I have struggled with feeling safe in my life, but in both this home and this therapy, I feel so seen and cared for. This would create so much stability, healing, and peace of mind for me.

I believe that we deserve to live and thrive and to know life more than survival, I want to lean into community care and mutual aid in this journey of healing for me. I would not be anywhere without the support of so many folks in my life who have offered support and help. So now I'm asking each of you!
