On 6/6/2022 we found out that my Dad, has a 3.8cm brain tumor, and will have to have a major brain surgery to remove the tumor, on August 5. From what they see on the Mri’s the Dr’s think the type of tumor is an ependymoma (we will not know if this tumor is cancerous until they biopsy it when they remove it. ) The dr’s said these type of tumors often aren’t cancerous, but can be.

My mom is disabled and on a fixed income, and this surgery will require my Dad to be off work for at least a couple months. Of course; like most fathers and husbands, his biggest worry is how he is going to provide for his family. This past year has already been a tough year. My mom- Teressa , has been in and out of the hospital , having 2 life threatening infections that have taken months at a time to heal, having to be on IV antibiotics at home for almost 4 months and cost her , her big toe. We have lost several family members this year suddenly and now after Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor, my granny Diane- (my Mom’s mom) passed away on Sunday (7/17/2022) from complications of Covid-19. During all of these tough times my Dad has kept our family going and now is facing his own health emergency. We want him to know he is not facing it alone. Anyone who knows him knows he’s an extremely loveable man and will keep you laughing until your stomach hurts!
