When you live in as small of a county as Currituck, there are lots of familiar faces everywhere you go. One face in particular, we all know too well. Friends, neighbors, Curritucktians, one of us is need.

Nacita Cooper, or as most of us know her as Na'Na, had a kitchen fire Thursday afternoon. It did not destroy her entire home however it did tear up her kitchen and living room. The smoke and soot filled the rest of the home, destroying most of her belongings. So in short it has turned her life upside down.






Na' works 3 jobs to support herself and to provide her son Miguel. She is well known throughout the county for being so kind & giving & when you see her she always has a smile on her face. She can turn anyone's bad day into a brighter one. She has no insurance to repair her home, so we are trying to get her life back on track.
