House-fire Relief for Hana's Mom & Dad

Hello friends and family, I have unfortunate news...

My parents in Korea just lost everything in a house fire. On Monday the 12th, their home burned to the ground... 

WHO THEY ARE:

All their lives, they sacrificed themselves to love rice farmers in the deep countryside of Korea and took care of abandoned elderly people, many of whom suffered from illness. My brother and I lived with the elderly til they passed away. (We had a storage room with empty coffins ready to be used.)

The uniquely hard ministry came to an end while I was studying abroad; my mom continued to work as a caregiver while my dad raised animals, but they had to retire from that as well a few years ago for health issues. In their previous journey, their marriage suffered a lot-- but through recent sickness and recovery, a huge change occurred in my dad and they have been living in a new honeymoon phase; hiking and gardening together, etc.

I am asking that God will bless them through this "losing everything." We are praying for blessing over them for all those years of being persecuted by the local Buddhists, broken-hearted and rejected while pouring out love to those who couldn't (or wouldn't) give back... I am praying for a NEW season in their life!

WHAT'S NEXT:

They are looking at renting a small apartment (which makes them super thrilled to just have a cute little space together).

What is going to be amazing is that they will finally be able to RETURN to HOME TOWN where they both grew up. This has been their dream that seemed unreachable all this time... to return to their beautiful home city, Suncheon.

THE GOAL:

All fund will go towards their rental home deposit called "Jeonsei" 16,000 USD which is too big an amount for us to come up with. Koreans get this deposit back when the 2-year lease ends. (Plus the monthly rental fee will be around 450.00 USD/mo.)
