In the early morning hours of June 27, my lifelong friend, Dana (Soriano) Rocchi and her family lost everything in an instant when they were awakened by a horrific housefire. Dana, Alex, and Gianna (4), were able to escape with nothing but the clothes on their backs. While they are extremely fortunate to have evacuated with no medical injuries, they lost everything, including birth certificates, wallets, cars, clothing, furniture, and Gianna's precious baby dolls.
Dana and Alex will need time off to work through tedious insurance claims, recover their banking, drivers' licenses, and paperwork. They will also need to replace all of their clothing, furniture, houseware, and toys. For Alex, summer is the busiest time of year as an owner and operator of a small landscaping business. They are lucky to have family nearby that they can stay with in the short-term, but they will be anxious to find a new home to call their own in the coming months.
Please consider a donation, however big or small, to help Dana and her family. None of us can replace the valuables they lost, but I know even a little can go a long way in helping them restart.
The recipient of this donation will be Dana's mother, Cheryl Soriano. Since Dana and Alex have lost all banking and personal documentation, we want to ensure donations are accessible immediately.
