Hello, we are fundraising for our good friend and colleague Tina Lance. On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, Tina received a devastating phone call at work. Her house had caught on fire, and her new puppy and the family dog were stuck inside. Multiple townships were called in to help extinguish the fire. It was later determined that the puppy had jumped up to get his food dish off the stove and, in the process, turned the gas stove on, which eventually started the fire.

Unfortunately, the new puppy did not survive, succumbing to smoke inhalation. The family dog was rushed to the vet, where he spent the night being treated for smoke inhalation. He is now back with the family in their temporary home and getting stronger every day.

The entire house will need to be gutted and the interior completely rebuilt. Tina's bedroom was off of the kitchen, so she lost everything; at this point, she only has the clothes she was wearing on Wednesday.

Thankfully, she has a temporary home with her daughter and is working with her insurance to begin the long process of having her home rebuilt. In the meantime, anything we can do as a community to assist Tina and her family will be greatly appreciated.

Having worked for Cuyahoga Falls City School district for over 22 years, Tina is a caring, giving person who, no matter what, always has her friend's and family's back. A loving, supportive friend and co-worker, as a teacher's aide, she works tirelessly each day to help support as many students and staff members as she can. Reliable, dependable and one of the most selfless people we know, if one of us need something, we know we can count on Tina to be there for us within minutes.
