House repair or moving fund

Heya recently I was offered a chance to move to North Carolina. I was out of home for about 17 days in total. I was offered help and housing in that area but things fell through. Due to some timing, things with my cat I ended up deciding to return to Texas.

This was a very big mistake and I severely regret my choice immensely.

I have found that in the time I was gone that my body had adjusted to living in a cleaner space. As such I've had intense chest pain, poor eye sight (seeing spots), and breathing has been very difficult. These along with the emotional distress of the situation have left me unable to perform my job as an artist to make the money I usually make.

I have not been able to function, I have not been able to clean or work out without coughing up a lung, and I can hardly focus at the moment unless I sit outside for a long while. The mental health help I've gotten can't even be paid for properly.

I have been advised to simply move and use this gofundme for that. However apartments in my area all require paystubs, which as an artist I am unable to provide. I'm aware I can make my own but the apartments have no employer to call and check with.

I've spoken with landlords and managers to get around this before but get caught on a second thing. I'm under a lease with my bio mother. So they have to contact her to see if I'm a good tenant.

She is an abuser that wishes to keep me under her thumb. The information she provides is not true, and due to her having a different last name any attempt for me to explain she is my mother she explains away as me being affectionate.

So the plan is to either fix up my living arrangement as best as I can. Flooring, walls, tub, & uhaul to reclaim my things from the failed move.

Or, brute force rent in another state. I've experienced in Northern states it's a credit check and paying a complete month's rent ahead of moving in or buying a bond.

Here is a summary of issues with my living situation.

Mold everywhere, floor and walls are falling apart, the bath tub is sinking into the ground, bug and rat infestation, water damage everywhere, the outlets leak a brown stuff when used, there is no heating, the oven does not work, the fridge develops mold and does not close properly, it also leaks, the ceiling sags every time it rains, we're in the middle of a forest surrounded by coyotes and the like, hicks are constantly outside shooting guns for fun or causing other noises, the AC hardly works and we're in a heat wave every other week. Texas in general is just straight up bad for me to be in due to my medical and mental health needs.

This money will be going to the following.

Floor repair: 2000-2500 depending on contractor.

Hotel stay: would be 2ish weeks for repairs, 2000

Uhaul to recover items or move: 3000+

Storage for items: 30

Rent if move: 5000 total, 1500 down deposit, 1500 rent, 1500 second month's rent to help settle in, and 500 for pet deposit.

Food: 450 for a month.

Utilities: 756 for a month

Meds: 160 (80 dollars per month)

Therapist: 100 per week. Looking at 8 weeks so 800.

Gas: 300+
