Help House of Paws Build a Cat Shelter
Donation protected
House of Paws is a small cat and dog shelter located in Shkodra, northern Albania. The girls behind the shelter have been feeding, fostering, and caring for the animals of Albania for years, and are now trying to set up a proper cat shelter/sanctuary for all their fosters and more!
House of Paws has had many successes, with dozens of pets adopted in Albania and abroad, and dozens more provided with medical care and food. Between them, the volunteers behind House of Paws shelter some thirty cats, and feed dozens more kittens, dogs, and puppies every day. When someone sounds the alarm that a cat has been abandoned and hurt, or a puppy is lost, the girls are ready to patrol the city to find them. They have even paid for transportation costs around and outside Albania.
Now, they have issued a public call for donations to help them set up a proper cat shelter in Shkodra, the first of its kind in all of Albania. They have already rented a space, but need the funds to clean it up, insulate it, and buy all the items necessary for healthy and happy cats. Therefore the funds will be used to:
- Clean up, remodel and furnish their newly acquired space.
- Buy cat food, toys, and beds.
- Provide medical attention to cats that need it.
- Cover adoption costs in and outside Albania.
- Spay and neutering costs (usually runs around $60-$80 per cat).
