House in Ashes- Friends & Family of Eric & Joyce

Late Saturday night, July 6th, my mother and father in law, Eric and Joyce Mimura, smelled smoke and opened the window to see flames coming from the neighboring home. They didn't have time to stop and grab anything...only a few seconds before the flames quickly started spreading through their home. Mom called 911 as they started running out of their home because the flames had already engulfed the kitchen.  "It was so HOT!" They waited outside as the fire engines arrived with only the clothes on their backs and their lives.  It took several hours to extinguish the fire.  All they could do was pray everyone got out safely as they stood outside and watched as everything they owned and the life they built over 50 years burned to ashes. We praise God that they and the neighbors made it out alive and safe.  That is what was the most important.  Thank you to the community, friends, and family that are helping them through this difficult time. We appreciate all your prayers and support to rebuild some of what was lost and for basic necessities. In Christ, Valerie Mimura
