House Fire - - Thomas Rivera & Rivera family

Dearest friends, my name is Thomas Rivera Jr., and I am writing this post on behalf of my father one of Buffalo's Good Neighbors. I am saddened to share my father was victim to a devastating house fire. Our dearest Buffalonian, Thomas (a business owner and blue-collar worker) lost his family home. The fire two days back caused all his belongings to be destroyed. Thankfully, Thomas and his finance who is battling severe burns and smoke inhalation complications are safe. Family heirlooms gone and forever lost along with all personal belongings. The house is a total loss. My father has worked tirelessly to restore and update the place he once called home, putting every cent he could into his future. From Thomas's commitment to improving the habits of those patients he influenced as a counselor while working for the state to his endless work and efforts on the property, to his inspiring commitment to each friendship, to his children, and to his extended family. The Rivera household was one of a kind. Funds donated today will help cover interim living expenses, replacement of the house and belongings, income replacement and more.
