Early this morning my brother Andrew and his roommate were awakened by their fire alarm, unfortunately this was not a false alarm. The 6 unit building that he and his roommate lived in was on fire. In an attempt to put out some flames in their apartment and save his dog Andrew received some second degree burns and was treated and monitored for smoke inhalation. Everything he had was in that apartment and while we are so very thankful that he and his dog made it out safely, he has lost everything else. He and so many other residents although safe, have lost everything. Sadly Andrew did not have tenant insurance so none of his belongings will be covered. We understand that these are very hard times for everyone right now but any donation would be greatly appreciated to give to him so he can try to replace some of his clothing, belongings and eventually find a new apartment.
