House Fire - Smith Family

Donation protected
The Smith Family of 9 lost many of their belongings on July 3rd when their home was devastated by a fire.  They were home eating dinner when they realized there was a large fire brewing in the garage. Thankfully, everyone, including their dog Bowser is safe! The Smith's are lifelong Bowie residents and have lived in their current home for 9 years. They are very active in their community. Lance Smith was the Bowie Boys and Girls Club Soccer Commissioner for 5 years and has coached many boys and girls soccer and baseball teams for over 12 years. They are active members of their church in Bowie. The children are ages 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 7 and 4.  They are on hold waiting for the insurance company to open after the holidays to work on long-term shelter options as they are currently spread out staying with various friends and family.  They don't know what's ahead in the next several months but have heard there are many gaps in what they lost/need and what the insurance company can cover. For now, any monetary donations you can make to cover their urgent needs would be greatly appreciated. Gift cards for gas, restaurants like Chic-Fil-A, Target/Walmart would be extremely helpful for them over the next several months while they are displaced from their home. They are not ones to ask for help but always there for others. Let's help this wonderful family get back on their feet!
