Hello friends and family, this is Tylor Bosak the boyfriend of Caitlin Aguilar. It is hard for me to ask for money/hand outs or even ask for help. If anyone knows what type of people we are we work for everything we have and we try our best to do good and spread positivity everywhere. Once my vehicle was stolen it was hard for me to decide what to do with being in College and working 32-40 hours a week trying to make ends meet while we stay in a hotel. I decided a break from school, going back to work full-time and also eventually getting a part time job would help but It wont help immediately presently. We were already struggling before the stolen vehicle, but once that happened it "broke the camels back" (or maybe just mine.) The 2,000 will go towards my deductible for my car insurance and the rest to clothes for my girlfriend and I, food, and bills.
February, 7th 2024 was like any normal day I had school had two tests that day and was looking forward to coming home. Once I got home I cleaned, showered, gamed went about my day as normal. When Caitlin got home we loaded the dishwasher, planned to head out for the day to Best Buy, and run a some errands. We left the home with Tracy Aguilar sitting in her recliner watching tv and Caitlin's aunt's husband in their bedroom. After exchanging a headset at Best Buy, left about 5:30pm, got home at about 6:40, and Caitlin had smelled a plastic scent thinking it was the dishwasher. We started inspecting, but then Tracy had claimed she heard a cat scratching at the door downstairs. So as Caitlin was investigating she saw black around the door of her aunt's room and saw smoke coming out of the top. Fearful of what it was, she looked at me with distress and concern and as she opened it our fears were true and the only thing left was to deal with what we had laid our eyes on. Tracy said her aunt's husband had just gone out to the garage and Caitlin rushed to go inform him what had occurred. I sprang into action trying to find a fire extinguisher and with no luck my mind raced towards my cats, which now thinking about it they had already likely been hiding. But I couldn't get to many areas of the home because the smoke was so heavy. So with little time to think, I managed to grab my desktop school computer and my PlayStation then rush out of the house. Once outside we couldn't do anything but watch with tears as everything we had was perishing not knowing how bad the fire was going to be and if our cats would be okay. Thankfully our cats are okay and everyone is alive, but there's numerous things lost sentimental and comfort wise that we wont be able to get back.
February, 8th 2024. After a fire you never know where your heads going to be at. Well its more so like a spinning leaf that never ends. Once we get to the house, we start grabbing things that we know were able to recover/clean. Once we unloaded a trip at the hotel, we returned to a red notice on the door stating nobody could enter and if we did there would be a fine. Being fearful and not knowing, we decided we would just grab our snake and our spiders and left everything to sit in the house until we got confirmation that yes we could enter the house or they began cleaning it out. On February, 9th 2024. My grandfather (Mark Bosak) had been on a service call in the area and drove by the house. While driving by he noticed a window popped out and the backdoor wide open. Caitlin had already been on her way over there to meet ServePro and that's when we got confirmation that yes, someone did rob us during the night.
February, 22nd 2024. Still in fear and in shock that someone would rob us after a house fire we were on edge not knowing what would happen next. Now not knowing that my key from my vehicle had been stolen because we could not locate it after the house fire. I was just hoping it was in some pants or still hidden away where we had it placed. But nevertheless at 11:20 pm Caitlin heard a car drive off that didn't look like it pulled into the hotel parking lot, but pulled away from the spot I normally am parked. She looked outside and saw it was gone then rushed to wake me up. I immediately called the cops and they came to take our statement. While taking the statements, the cop heard on his earpiece that they saw my vehicle near 56th and Pine Lake Rd. About 10-15 blocks from the house fire and all the way opposite side of the city from where our hotel is at. February, 23rd 2024. Caitlin had a hunch where it was located because the robbery of the house and the theft of my car was a family member. She remembered a hotel mentioned where the family member had likely been staying and when driving by the hotel to check the hunch, it was found. Police were able to recover the vehicle, but with a decent amount of damage done to it. Insurance helps a lot with a situation like this, but there are still many things we need to pay even though we had done nothing to cause these occurrences in our lives in the first place.
Thank you, if you made it this far. Its been a whirlwind of a month and not something I wish on anybody. Like I said its very hard for me to reach out for help, but at this point it's a necessity so my girlfriend and my cats can live a comfortable life and we can attempt to move on from this disaster.
