House Fire Relief Fund for Ms. Nguyen's Student
Donation protected
Most of you know me as Julie or Minh-Thu. My students know me as Ms. Nguyen. I teach first and second grade Special Education for LAUSD in the South Gate community. I love my job and most of all, I love my students.
At 3:00am this morning, November 8, 2020, one of my student's home caught on fire and burned down due to negligence on behalf of the apartment manager who left an apartment unit open. The fire started in the unoccupied unit by non-residents and traveled to my student's unit. My second grade student, her grandparents, her mother, her four month old sister, and her two brothers lost everything.
Please help me raise money to provide relief for her and her family. I will be using the funds raised to purchase basic necessities to help them get back on their feet (this includes clothing, food, toiletries, bedding, school supplies, etc.) . No amount of money will ever replace what they've lost, but any type of donation can and will help. All funds raised including any amount exceeding the goal will go to the family.
I have been her teacher for two years now and I can't even begin to describe what a light she has been to everyone she encounters. Please help me help this incredible little girl and her family replace what they have lost. With the holidays coming up, presents will be secondary to basic provisions for her and her family this year. Please donate. Any amount helps. I thank you, I thank you, I thank you!
