House Fire Relief for the Zissimos Family

Hi everyone,

My name is Katie, and I am the eldest daughter of Scott and Karen Zissimos. On the morning of September 11th, at 6 a.m., tragedy struck when my parents’ home caught fire. What started in the kitchen quickly spread, leaving their kitchen and living room destroyed and the rest of their home heavily damaged.

By God’s grace, my mom was home at the time and was alerted by the smoke detectors. She was able to get herself and the family dog out safely. My dad had already left for work that morning. While we are so thankful that everyone is safe, the reality is that my parents lost nearly everything.

Right now, they are displaced from their home and will be until insurance steps in and the long process of rebuilding can begin, estimated 8-12 months tkll they are back in there home. In the meantime, they are faced with the overwhelming task of replacing their essentials and starting over.

We are asking for any support you can give to help them through this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping them with immediate needs and beginning the journey of rebuilding their home and their lives.
