House Fire Relief for The Calma Family

On the evening of May 22nd, The Calma Family (Kirk, Patti, Samantha, and Marisa), were the victims of a devastating fire that has destroyed the house they have called home for the last 13+ years. Thankfully they were able to make it out alive, along with their cat Hallow, but aside from the clothes on their back, all of their belongings were lost in the fire.

For the last 30 years, Patti and Kirk have worked in Goose Creek schools in Baytown, TX to counsel and teach the young people of their community, all while raising two daughters of their own, Samantha and Marisa. In a matter of days Samantha will be graduating high school and preparing for college at Texas State University, a transformative time in a person's life that has sadly been darkened by this tragedy.

Their daughter Marisa was born with a neurological disorder called Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy that has severely impacted their lives. Due to Marisa being 100% immobile and nonverbal, all of the costly equipment they use every day to help her, has been destroyed.

We are asking that we come together to help The Calma’s the way they have spent their lives helping the young people of our community. Please consider helping them carry the burden of this terrible event by contributing, no matter how big or small, as they begin to rebuild their lives.
