House Fire Relief for Margrette
Hi, my name is James A. Doswell, Jr., and I'm fundraising for my mother Margrette J. Doswell.
On Monday, February 1, 2021, the family residence of Margrette J. and the late James A. Doswell, Sr., (a retired Army Veteran), suffered some fire damage and some smoke damage to portions of their home. Their home of over 66 years, located in Newport News, Virginia, has been home to five (5) children and the place of some epic summer experiences for 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Gratefully, the family is safe from the house fire -- but they are in need of items while they are displaced. Such as clothes, shoes, water, food, paper towels, toilet paper and toiletries.
If you have ever been Blessed to visit my parents home, you know how it feels to be held by their fierce, tender, and generous care. They have always welcomed anyone and everyone into their family, into their lives and into their home.
No house fire is good at any time, however, this fire has proven to be a challenge because my mother, the 86 years young matriarch of this Doswell Family had undergone Obstructive Bowel surgery back in October 2020, was and is still on the road to recovery from that surgery. Which in-turn she has been and continues to be hospital bed ridden due to that surgery, prior to and since this untimely house fire.
We know that COVID-19 has affected all of us in challenging ways, finances included--so whatever you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated. Please consider sharing this with your circle of family and friends.
Thank you in advance from our family to yours! May GOD Bless and keep you and yours......now and always!!!
