Early Saturday morning of June 20, 2020, the home of my brother Carlos and his partner Edymir was destroyed by a devastating fire. Thankfully they were awake and got out of the house unharmed. The fire consumed the entire house and everything they owned. They are only left with their pajamas.
They have both been in Argentina for the past 3 years, working hard to make a living in a new country as immigrants, and basically lost everything.
Currently, they are staying in a friend’s house searching for the next place to live. This is such a tragic loss for anyone to have to endure.
Unfortunately, there is no insurance money they will be receiving so they feel incredibly lost with what to do next. A GoFundMe page was not something easy for them to be opened to when i first asked, but they reluctantly obliged.
This fundraiser is to help them recoup some of the basic essentials they need to start over. We are hoping to raise money to support them during this very difficult time.
As you can imagine, they are encountering so many unexpected expenses and would appreciate any of your help.

La madrugada del sábado 20 de junio de 2020, un incendio devastador destruyó la casa de mi hermano Carlos y su pareja Edymir. Afortunadamente estaban despiertos y salieron ilesos de la casa. El fuego consumió toda la casa y todo lo que poseían. Solo les quedo lo que cargaban encima.
Ambos han estado en Argentina durante los últimos 3 años, trabajando duro para ganarse la vida en un nuevo país como inmigrantes, y básicamente esto les hizo perder todo lo que habían estado trabajando desde que llegaron.
Actualmente, se están quedando en la casa de un amigo buscando el próximo lugar que van a rentar para vivir. Esta es una pérdida muy trágica que es difícil de enfrentar y una página de GoFundMe no fue algo fácil para ellos aceptar cuando les pregunté por primera vez, pero decidieron que era lo más correcto.
Lamentablemente, no hay dinero del seguro que recibirán, por lo que se sienten increíblemente perdidos con lo que deben hacer a partir de ahora. La recaudación de fondos es para ayudarlos a recuperar algunos de los elementos básicos que necesitan para comenzar de nuevo. Esperamos recaudar dinero para apoyarlos durante este momento tan difícil.
