My name is Ashley and I am writing on behalf of my mother Lisa, whose house caught on fire on the evening of May 6th, 2023 in Lima, OH. My mother who was renting her home, lost all of her belongings in the fire, including her beloved cat. She unfortunately did not have any renters insurance at the time. She was upstairs watching TV when she heard something and looked down the stairs and saw the house was engulfed in flames. She immediately ran down the stairs and ran through the fire to escape. Thankfully, she made it out safely.

My mom is one of the sweetest and strongest human beings that I know. She has been through more than I can imagine, and still keeps pushing. She is unable to work and is on a fixed income due to her having Grand Mal seizures that she has had for the majority of her life. Unfortunately doctors have still not been able to find a good concoction that works for her, so she still has seizures regularly. For this to have happened to her, is absolutely heartbreaking.

Unfortunately the house is a total loss, and has left her without a home. We are asking for any and all help to aid my mom in the loss of her home and belongings. Any little bit will cover some of the costs of what she may need to get through this devastating situation and help her get into a new home, and start over and rebuild her life. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she moves through the tough days ahead.
