At 2:30am on May 11th, Jenny, Red (Mike) and their dog Vinny awoke to the front of their row home engulfed in flames along with 9 other row homes. They grabbed what they could, ran out the back door and joined their neighbors as they all watched their homes and contents burn. All people and animals were thankfully unharmed. This home was a rental, however the majority of everything inside was either damaged by Fire, water, soot or an irreversible smell. Due to fine print in their renters insurance policy, none of their belonging will be covered by insurance. They are now starting over in a temporary new place, with the few things they were able to salvage, and will slowly be purchasing all the large and little things they need to complete a home. Imagine bringing a watermelon to your new place and realizing you have to go back out to buy knives to cut it (true story). Please help us in getting Jenny & Red started on their recovery from their house fire.
