House fire recovery for the Sommer family

Donation protected
Last evening, when Steven and Lexis Sommer had finally finished preparing for their son's 2nd birthday and upcoming "Very Hungry Caterpillar" party set for the 30th, those plans would forever change only moments later when their house was destroyed by a catastrophic fire.

While they are extremely grateful to have safely escaped their family and dogs without harm, they consequently lacked time to grab anything else on their way out, including necessities for their 23mo old son, Noah.

Due to the extent of fire and smoke damage, everything inside the house has been destroyed or will need extensive repair, which is estimated to take several months, possibly longer due to construction delays and material shortages. They will need to find temporary housing meanwhile.

The Sommer's have expressed deep appreciation for the kindness and support they have recieved from family, friends and neighbors, and are also are very grateful to the First Responders who risked their safety in an effort to save their home.

I've started this GFM account in response to the outpouring of love and support from so many who feel helpless, yet are eager to help out. They are so thankful for your support.

What a blessing it is to be a part of such a caring and supportive community; one where we take an opportunity to step up and help when one of our own is down. Thank you.
