On Thursday, March 12th, my father received a phone call at 3:00 a.m. from dispatch that his home was on fire. This was also his last day at UT Medical - he took early retirement so he could take a position with Claiborne Ambulance service to be closer to home.

He was in the process of remodeling the inside of the house, which took him over a year to finish two bathrooms, a bedroom, the living room; he had just started renovation on the kitchen. He lost everything. He is currently living with his sister in Harrogate, TN. 

Many people have reached out and recommended this platform to accept donations. We typically arestubborn enough to not ask for help and get by with what we have, but given the circumstances, we won’t necessarily turn it away at this point  We are also not sure where to begin or where to go from here, but we figured we would give it a shot!
