For the last 4 years, I’ve had an amazing girlfriend who I’ve had the pleasure of having a small but steady family that included Mrs. Jan Elders, her loving pug Finna, Kim (the amazing girlfriend), our pup Peanut, and myself living our little dream on Tybee Island.

Back in December, our matriarch of our little family, Jan, sadly passed, leaving Ms. Finna in Kim’s care. Most of us have seen Kim cruising on her Harley with Peanut on the back, hanging out at Nikki’s on Tybee Island, eating a slice at Huck-A-Poos, or bar backing at the Sand Bar. Kim’s the kind of person who a stranger can call in the middle of the night, stranded in the middle of nowhere, and she’d come to the rescue. To know her is to love her.

Yesterday, tragedy struck and the place she called home caught fire and while she, her roommate, Peanut, and Beans got out, sadly Ms. Finna wasn’t so lucky. Kim walked away unharmed with only the dogs in tow and the clothes on her back. Please let’s do her a favor and show her how we are known for taking care of one of our own. I’m asking this community to please come together and surround her with the love she needs right now.
