House Fire Lost home & everything in it -
After losing two jobs, handling a divorce and finally feeling like I’m “me” again I lose everything to a house fire. Lightening hit and all I could think of was to make
sure everyone got out. My daughter and I smelled smoke, called 911, sounded the fire alarm and went banging on people’s doors to evacuate. I ran back to grab some papers, my dog, and car keys. I honestly didn’t know how far the flames would go ... but the roof caught fire, it spread so fast & the floors above me collapsed. I lost everything. Renters insurance can’t replace my dads ashes, my dogs ashes, my grandma’s ring, photos, or other memories like the photo of the first time I held my little girl. But it will be ok ... I’m in shock ... but God uses us to help others and I am glad everyone got out ok, that’s all that matters.
I don’t know how much I’m going to need until I can get to where I’m going but I just found out I still have to pay hotel fees and a bunch of other bills when I have to get a new place. Most places aren’t even available around here ... so I’ll admit I’m worried.
Anyway, thanks for your help, kind words, and I can’t wait to be in a position to be able to pay it forward because I’m unbelievably thankful.
Thank you.
