This morning at 6am, a family of 9 had their lives changed forever. They woke up to their home engulfed in flames, and it's only by the grace of God that they made it out alive. The fire spread rapidly, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

There were 9 of them in the home at the time, but they are two separate families: Tim and Kathy Smith, and Nikki Chalker, CJ, and their 4 children, along with Nikki's aunt JoJo who is disabled and wheelchair-bound, whom Nikki takes care of daily.

Life had already dealt them a tough hand. When Nikki got pregnant with Kyler, they'd just lost everything. CJ had gotten into a wreck in their family vehicle and totaled it, and just three days later, their Honda CRV was totaled too, leaving them carless. Shortly after, because of no transportation, they lost their jobs and soon after, their home.

That resulted in them moving in with family until they could get back on their feet. And just when things were starting to look up, when they were finally getting their lives together... Their family home burned down.

The feeling of devastation and helplessness is overwhelming and an understatement right now. They're so defeated.

Although they're grateful to be alive, they've lost everything. They're in desperate need of essentials like clothing, diapers, bottles, and pacifiers. Any donations would be a blessing.
