House Fire: Whole Family ICU And Loss Of My Father
Today something that I never imagined happening to my family, did. This morning our home caught on fire. All of our belongings were destroyed, but that in no way compared to what it did to my family.
My aunt Jeri, the backbone of our family, and my 29- year old sister suffered extreme smoke inhalation and are currently on ventilators and in for a long road to recovery.
My 2 year old nephew is in a similar situation, but with being so small it took a harder toll on him. He’s currently at St. Christopher’s under constant sedation while they try to clear his lungs and get him breathing on his own again.
Here’s where things get worse—
This tragedy claims the lives of my 3 beloved fur babies. My two cats, Lexi and Jojo. And my dog, Bella. I can’t express how hard emotionally this has been and with my entire family under constant sedation,I’m trying my best to do anything I can to help us try to heal and rebuild what was lost. Though not all things can be replaced...
And now the final blow: My dad. Anyone who knows my dad knows that he’s always been a sick person.. childhood spent mostly in hospitals. My dad was the last to be pulled from the fire and he’s really not in good shape. I’m praying for a miracle but sadly I have to consider the possibility of not getting one.
im not the kind of person to ever put myself out there, especially with my personal life but right now the best thing I can do for them is try to give them at least something small for us to try to adjust to this new life.
To anyone who took the time to read this, thank you. And to anyone who donates, your kindness means the world to my family and me.
