House Fire - Johnson Family

Hi my name is Matt Estabrook and i’m starting a fundraiser for the devastating house fire of the Johnson’s family house.

Last night 12/21 Mary and Darrell’s house in Westport, WA caught on fire. Both Mary and Darrell are safe as well as 2 dogs and 1 cat. Sadly their other 5 cats have passed and one still missing. The house is perceived as a total loss as the fire made its way to the center of the house. Mary and Darrell have housing for the next few days and they are accompanied by their daughter Sophie Currently. Both other two daughter are safe and ok; Aly (Seattle, WA) and Kaitlyn (San Diego, CA)

This family is one of the most generous and homely people in my life. I went to high school with their daughter Sophie Johnson who I now live with. We have gone from friends to siblings. And their family is now my family. Everything they have worked for is apart of that house. A homestead, a place of peace, and a place of unity. It was heartbreaking last night to see a living room that once was used for boardgames and movie nights is now covered in ash, water and remnants of what used to be their home.

The Johnson’s are the type of people that would drop everything and help if you needed it. Since they have dropped everything for me before, i’m dropping everything for them now.

I’m asking for help in donating what you can to add some sort of serenity during this christmas time. No one should ever EVER have to go through this, especially 3 days before Christmas. If you are unable to donate, please send good vibes or prayers their way.

Please refrain from prying to know more about the home and situation at hand but rather provide comfort for them right now. The loss of their cats and home have taken a major toll on them.
