House Fire - helping Glen and Marc
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Marc DesRoches. On Monday, June 2nd, my partner Glen Gamble and I lost our home, and everything in it, to a devastating house fire.
I (Marc) work full time out of our home teaching private music lessons (Music with Marc), making lamps and decor using recycled broken musical instruments (Brass Glow Co.), and I play second oboe and English horn with the Prince Edward Island Symphony Orchestra.
The fire consumed every single last one of our possessions, including the music studio with 3 pianos, 2 oboes and an English horn, the Brass Glow garage/workshop, and the rest of the house that was filled with over a hundred beautiful and meticulously cared for house plants.
We are seeking aid in raising funds to help Glen and I regain some of our home essentials, as well as to offset costs associated with helping Marc find a new oboe and a new English horn so that he might be able to play with the PEI Symphony Orchestra during the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
We are not sure if our sweet cat Tchaikovsky made it out of the house or not. We are still searching the surrounding areas and are hopeful for a miracle. Anyone who lives in or around the New London area, specifically Marks Road, please be on the lookout for a well-loved, Garfield-looking orange cat. She is completely orange except for her white belly and neck/mouth. Will respond to the words "cheese" and "chicken".
