House Fire, Help Connie and Joe rebuild their life
Our mom lost her home of 30 years to a tragic house fire the evening of August 9th. She put everything she had into her home fixing it up over the years. She was so proud to own her home, and now, it's gone. Everything is gone. Our family home. To say she and Joe are heartbroken is an understatement. To add salt to the wound, there wasn't any insurance coverage, not for lack of trying or paying, but because no insurance company would cover it because they had a woodstove as their only source of heat.
Our mom, she is a warrior. Two time cancer survivor and transplant patient. Life has thrown so much at her. How she is still standing is beyond me. I am in awe of her. Please help us help her and Joe get their life back. A home back.
The important part, everyone made it out safe.
So, they are starting from scratch. At 64 years old, my mom no longer has a home. Or, anything you put in a home. My sisters and I are doing all we can to help, but we need more help. We can't do it alone and neither can they.
We are so thankful she and Joe live in a community that will come together to help them. A little town I once called home. Paradise.
ANY help is beyond appreciated. My sisters and I cannot thank everyone enough for anything donated.
