Donation protected
The Dow Family of Scarborough, Maine suffered a significant house fire yesterday afternoon, 06/13. Thankfully, Leonard and Kathy Dow; along with their 2 grandchildren that live with them; as well as their dogs and a cat all made it out safely.
The Red Cross has temporarily put them up in a local hotel and is helping with basic necessities. Unfortunately, the majority, if not all, of their personal belongings; furniture; medical equipment; clothes; electronics; toys; pictures; etc. have been completely destroyed by fire, water and smoke.
The family has a very long road ahead until they are settled again which will most likely include completely starting over based on initial visual assessments of the extensive damage.
Please note that one of the grandchildren is in my son's 1st grade class at the Blue Point School and Kathy Dow was a dear friend of my mother in law which compelled me to start this fundraiser.

As a Vietnam Veteran with medical hurdles and she a Retired Nurse that strive to take care of a young granddaughter, they sincerely appreciate everyone's kindness and generosity!
