MD House Fire — Emergency Help & Rebuild
Donation protected
On September 30, 2021 at approximately 1:30pm, a fire broke out at the back of our family household, destroying much of the building and with almost nothing to salvage. However, we feel blessed none of us were severely injured or worse.
According to the Fire Marshall, the fire was deemed electrical, caused by faulty wiring and poor construction.
In the 2 hours it took to extinguish the fire, we went from having a home and and feeling secure in their lives, to becoming homeless, feeling devastated and left to deal with all of the loss.
Unfortunately, we did not have renter’s insurance at the time of the fire.. Because of this, things like temporary housing and possession replacement aren’t covered. We need your help in order to get back on our feet and start rebuilding our lives after everything that has happened. With not being able to grab anything when exiting the home, most of our possessions have been destroyed, and the items that are actually left are covered in ash and the intrusive smell of smoke, or are severely water damaged.
Every little bit counts and something that may seem small or unimportant to one may mean the world to another. Any donations received will go towards bills, temporary housing, food, clothes, furniture, and whatever else the family may need to replace what was lost. Each donation is deeply appreciated and there isn’t enough gratitude in the world to give for everyone coming together during the times that it is most needed. Thank you, thank you, thank you for extending your kindness and proving just how truly amazing humankind can be.
