House fire destroys Moe and rescue dogs home

Donation protected

Friday night Andrea Mrozinski also known to many as Moe or MoeMoe woke up in the middle of the night to sounds seeming to come from the kitchen. Upon getting up and checking she discovered a large fire outside her kitchen area. She attempted to put the fire out but soon realized the situation was out of her control. She was able to scoop up her Big “little” Fluffy Dog Rescue, foster pup Amara (also known as the mom to the Christmas or Ice Storm puppies) and run out the door to get her to safety.

She immediately without thinking ran back into her home to find her other canine companion Dexter, also a BFD rescue she adopted two years prior. Dexter is a tripod husky mix who fell in love with Moe the moment he landed in her arms. And vice versa.

Thankfully she found Dexter hiding under her bed and was able to grab him into her arms. Unfortunately on her way back out of the burning home the fire had spread rapidly and she suffered minor burns while protecting Dexter and running to safety. Her and dexter were within seconds of being trapped by the fire in the back of the home.

Moe, Dexter, and Amara are alive, safe, and considering, not injured. However everything they owned, treasured, loved… it’s all gone. Their home was a total loss.

And let me tell you, this woman is definitely sad and hurt by this loss but anyone who knows Moe… you know she has never and will never care about material things. She is a giver. I have seen her open her home time and time again to homeless and people in need. She donates to everything, fosters rescue dogs, volunteers so much time, and has a heart to big for her tiny body.

Upon losing every worldly possession she owned I only heard three things come from her heartbreak. Her daddy’s gun and memories, a simple wind chime pelican from her passed mother in law, and a pillow. But she felt guilty for even saying losing those items hurt her, because she was just grateful everyone and especially the dogs were safe.

This was a new rental home, and she had not yet established insurance. At this point whether she likes to admit it or not, our Moe needs our help. Anything you can help with would mean the world. Immediate needs are a dog friendly rental property in or around Nashville. Funds for clothing. Of course furniture and home items, but can not accept much until she is able to find another home for her and the fur babies.

Thank you for taking the moment to read this, and being someone special in her life.
