We are Kenneth and Jennifer. On Tuesday, 7/19/2022, our parents lost their home in a fire caused by a brush fire in Bedias, TX.

Our mother was home at the time, and our father was headed home from work, when their 4 small indoor dogs started barking at the back door. When our mom opened the door to let them out, their back porch was already on fire. She tried grabbing the dogs, but they ran in different directions, scared of the fire. She was able to save 2 of their 4 dogs before she herself had to run as the house was catching flames. She didn’t even have shoes on when she escaped with nothing more than 2 dogs and her purse.

Firefighters arrived and tried to salvage anything they could, but the house simply could not be saved. Everything burned down to the ground (literally), and they were not able to get a single belonging from inside.

Right now, we do not know how to assist them other than to create a fund for them to get back on their feet. Everything from toothbrushes, underwear, shoes, a pair of jeans….they will have to buy anything and everything to just have the bare minimum.
