House fire and vet bills

Hi everyone. My name is Ashley Diehl - I'm Chris' sister-in-law. I've known Chris for close to 11 years, and since the beginning, I've known he's wanted to live in his current house. He finally got to move into that house about three months. However, yesterday afternoon, his world was turned upside down. There was a fire that started in his kitchen and the smoke spread throughout the entire house. His one dog, Buddy, was found in the bathtub, still breathing. But when the firefighters carried Buddy from the bathroom through the kitchen, he lost consciousness. The firefighters gave him oxygen, and he was taken to a local vet hospital, where he was stabilized. When he was okay to be moved from that hospital, he was transported to an ER clinic for more treatment. Buddy is doing better but as anyone knows, medical expenses add up quickly.

 

Anyone that knows Chris knows how much he loves animals - especially his own two dogs. While Buddy is now out of the woods, there are still a lot of medical expenses that will incur. Chris won't be able to move back into his house for quite some time because there was so much damage. Anything you can donate will help Chris get his house renovated and Buddy's medical expenses lowered.

 

The Diehl family is forever indebted to all the first responders who helped in yesterday's fire, the family and friends who rushed to help as much as possible, and the vet hospitals for taking such good care of Buddy.
